Announcements & Calendar
updated 1/28/12

THIS WEEK

BAPTISM, CONFIRMATION, RECEPTION, REAFFIRMATION  Inquirers' Classes continue on Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.

LOOMIS WORSHIP  Wednesday, February 1, the Eucharist will be celebrated with residents of Loomis Village, at 11:00 am. All are welcome.

LOOKING AHEAD

VESTRY MEETING Wednesday, February 15 at 6:30, lower level Vestry Room.  All are welcome!

Bishop's visitation  Sunday, February 19, there will be one service at 9:00, to celebrate Bishop Scruton's last visit with our parish before his retirement. Plan to join us on this special day, when Bishop Scruton will preach and preside, and we will present candidates for baptism, confirmation, reception and reaffirmation. The service will be followed by a festive Mardi Gras Pancake Breakfast, including craft projects for the children, as we prepare for Lent.

Ash Wednesday  February 22, the Ash Wednesday service will begin with a call to the observance of a Holy Lent. Begin Lent intentionally this year by attending one of the solemn Ash Wednesday services, at either 12:15 pm (brief lunchtime service) or 7:00 pm (full service with choir).

Comedy Night!  February 25, join the parish for a night of comedy and a home-cooked dinner of French food! More details coming, but be sure to save the date!

CIRCLE OF FAITH HABITAT FOR HUMANITY UPDATE

Every 5 weeks or so, All Saints' Church will be asked to supply 5-6 volunteers to work side by side with various other faith groups. Some weeks All Saints' will also be called to offer amenities for the work day.  We have placed a sign up sheet in the hallway if you'd like to put your name on the list to work at the site. No experience is necessary (although if you have a skill, please list it) and ALL are welcome.

Join us in working together to make a house a home for a very deserving family! Look for the picture of them on our bulletin board. There are also houses/calendars in the hallway for your family to take home and fill with spare change. A small way to count our blessings and bless others at the same time.

*Education for All Ages

The Adult Forum meets in Kidder Hall at 9:15 am. Sunday School also begins at 9:15 in the classrooms on the lower level.  Students will then be able to join their parents for the entire worship service at 10:30 am. To better engage the hearts and minds of the youngest among us, a child-friendly version of the lessons and gospel reading for the day, The Sunday Papers, will be available in the narthex. Education for All Ages will be held every Sunday morning throughout the school year with Nursery care offered from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon.

*During the school year.
